Top 10 performances from Week 9 of the college football season Ranking the top 10 performances from Week 9:

1. DeVonta Smith, Alabama, WR: The Alabama wide receiver dazzled with an 11-catch, 203-yard, four-touchdown day in the Crimson Tide's blowout win over Mississippi State. 

2. Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota, RB: Ibrahim found the end zone four times and also registered 207 yards on the ground. Incredibly, Minnesota lost to Maryland in overtime, 45-44.

3. Elijah Moore, Ole Miss, WR: Vanderbilt defenders will have nightmares of Moore after he caught 14 passes for an absurd 238 yards and three touchdowns. 

4. Travis Etienne, Clemson, RB: With star quarterback Trevor Lawrence out this week due to testing positive for COVID-19, the Tigers leaned heavily on their star running back. Etienne, who broke the record for the most rushing yards in ACC history, ran for 84 yards and a touchdown. If that wasn't enough, he hauled in seven catches for 140 yards and another touchdown. Clemson defeated Boston College 34-28.

5. Jake Funk, Maryland, RB: Funk accounted for 216 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries for Maryland in its 45-44 overtime win over Minnesota. The senior also caught three passes for 22 yards and a touchdown to add to his already impressive stat sheet.

6. Ricky White, Michigan State, WR: White gashed the Wolverines secondary in the rivalry game. He caught eight passes for 196 yards and a touchdown in the historic outing. The only other Spartan to have more receiving yards in a single game was Plaxico Burress when he had 255 in 1999. Michigan State came out with the upset, beating No. 14 Michigan 27-24.

7. Jahan Dotson, Penn State, WR: The Nittany Lions' wideout had eight catches – several of the spectacular variety – and all three touchdowns his team scored in their loss to No. 3 Ohio State.  

8. Matt Corral, Ole Miss, QB: Corral threw for six touchdowns and 412 yards (on 31-for-34 passing) in the Rebels' 54-21 blowout win over Vanderbilt. The sophomore also tacked on 23 rushing yards. 

9. Taulia Tagovailoa, Maryland, QB: Tagovailoa scored five total touchdowns and led the Terps to a 45-44 overtime win over Minnesota. The sophomore threw for 394 yards and ran for 64 on the day. 

10. Tylan Wallace, Oklahoma State, WR: Although Oklahoma State was upset by Texas in overtime, 41-34, it wasn't Wallace's fault. He came down with 11 catches for 187 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. 

Honorable Mention

Austin Trammell, Rice, WR: Of the four touchdowns Rice scored in its 30-6 win over Southern Miss, Trammell accounted for three of them. The senior receiver couldn't be contained and registered seven catches and 143 yards in the win.

Brandon Joseph, Northwestern, DB: Joseph was crucial in Northwestern's 21-20 win over Iowa. The ball hawk picked off two passes and had three solo tackles in the close contest.
